Windshield Tint & Visibility Disclaimer:
Windshield film is installed solely at the customer’s request.
The Client understands that windshield tint may:
- Reduce visibility in certain lighting or weather conditions
- Affect night driving or glare perception
Premier Tinting is not responsible for visibility issues, driving conditions, or consequences resulting from windshield film.
The Client accepts full responsibility for operating the vehicle safely at all times.
Why Full Front Windshield Tinting Is Never Covered by a Warranty:
Full front windshield tinting is never warrantied by any professional window film manufacturer or installer, and this is an industry-wide standard—not a shop preference.
1. Windshields Are Structural Glass
Unlike side and rear windows, the windshield is a structural safety component of the vehicle. It is constantly exposed to:
- Extreme heat and cold
- Road debris and rock impacts
- Rapid temperature changes
- Structural flex from the vehicle body
These factors are completely outside the control of the installer or film manufacturer.
2. All Windshield Film Is Installed From the Inside
Windshield tint is always applied to the interior surface of the glass. While the film itself is durable, it remains vulnerable to:
- Impact stress transferred through the glass
- Factory glass imperfections
- Pressure points caused by vehicle design
- Windshield defrosting systems and sensors
Any of these can affect the film after installation—even if the installation was flawless.
3. Rock Chips & Cracks Automatically Void Coverage
Even the smallest rock chip or stress crack—many of which occur without the driver noticing—can cause:
- Film distortion
- Visible stress lines
- Edge lifting
- Adhesion issues
Because these events happen during normal driving and cannot be prevented, warranties cannot apply.
4. Manufacturers Do Not Offer Windshield Warranties
No major window film manufacturer provides a warranty for full front windshield applications. Any shop claiming to offer one is either:
- Misrepresenting coverage, or
- Absorbing replacement costs themselves (which is why their pricing is often much higher)
At Premier Tinting, we believe in honesty and transparency, not misleading promises.
5. Pricing Reflects Risk & Reality
Because windshield tinting carries higher risk due to vehicle design and road conditions:
- Windshield pricing is separate from full vehicle packages
- Pricing remains firm and consistent
- Warranty exclusions are clearly disclosed upfront
This allows us to continue offering some of the best pricing and highest-quality work in Lexington without cutting corners.
Bottom Line
Full front windshield tinting provides exceptional heat rejection, glare reduction, and UV protection, but due to the nature of windshield glass and driving conditions, it is never covered under warranty—anywhere.
By choosing Premier Tinting, you’re choosing:
- Professional installation
- Industry-standard practices
- Clear expectations with no surprises
If you have any questions, our team is always happy to explain the process before installation.
